If your ED medication isn’t working anymore, there is a solution with the Coloplast Genesis Malleable penile implant. This penile implant is prepared with a custom fit to give you a natural and reliable erection when you need it.

The Coloplast Genesis Malleable implant offers a simple solution for patients with dexterity issues, limited reach or range of mobility. The malleable implant for erectile dysfunction works by simply bending the implant upwards for the desired angle of erection.

Features of the Coloplast Genesis malleable Implant

– Very high patient satisfaction rate. Over 93% of men reported moderately or completely satisfied with their implant. Similar studies for penis injections for impotence showed only a 40.9% satisfaction rate and for oral medication this was a little higher at 51.6%.
– The implant is completely concealed inside the body.
– No need to pump the device; simply bend upwards to the desired angle of erection.
– Can be maintained in the erect position for as long as you want.
– You can orgasm and continue with intercourse if you want.
– Easy to use.
– Benefit from the Coloplast lifetime replacement policy.

The Procedure

The Coloplast Genesis malleable penile implant is placed under general anaesthetic and takes around one hour. You will remain in hospital just for one night. The procedure is performed by one of our Uro/Andrologists, an expert in male only procedures. It is carried out in a Care Quality Commission registered hospital in London or Preston. You will need someone to take you home after discharge from hospital. The Moorgate Patient Care team will arrange follow up appointments for you with your Surgeon.

After the Surgery

The recovery period is around four weeks. You should aim to take one to two weeks off work depending on the nature of your work. Your Surgeon will discuss this with you in more detail at your consultation.

Frequently asked Questions

A) No. The Coloplast Genesis malleable penile implant is completely hidden inside the body. Remember though that the penis will always be in an erect state, bent downwards when you are not engaged in sexual activity and bent upwards when you are. If you want a more natural looking penis in the flaccid state then you may wish to consider the Coloplast Titan touch implant.

A) If you could ejaculate before your penile implant then you should still be able to do so after the surgery. If you have any doubts about this please discuss them with the Andrologist at your consultation.

A) All surgery carries risks. We will instruct a series of blood and urine investigations prior to surgery and your surgeon will take a detailed medical history as part of your consultation. Risks such as infections which may result in the need for repeat procedures, mechanical failure of the device and anaesthetic reactions exist. Although these risks are small you should discuss them with your Surgeon. Again, at your consultation the Surgeon will outline the potential risks and complications with you as well as the benefits of the procedure.

A) No. During the surgery the spongy tissue that engorges with blood when you have an erection is removed. The Surgeon removes this spongy tissue because he has to create space for the cylinders within the penis. If you can get an erection on your own you should discuss implant surgery carefully with the Surgeon. If you cannot get an erection on your own that is strong enough for sexual intercourse then a Coloplast Genesis malleable implant could be the perfect solution for you.

A) You will have had a surgical procedure so you should plan to take around two weeks off work. Depending on your job and recovery you may need slightly less or more than this. Generally the recovery process from the procedure takes between four to six weeks. Your Surgeon will discuss with you your overall lifestyle and how this will be affected during the process.
